Over the last few months, some effort has been put into getting Windsurfing SA up and going again. Key people have been Chris Dimond, Richard Upton, Karen & Russell Hunt (wavesailing), with advice from John Rohde. The 09/10 membership form can be found at SA_MSHIP_0910.pdf or SA_MSHIP_0910.doc

Current Committee Nominees are:
President: Chris Dimond
Secretary: Richard Upton
Treasurer: John Rohde

Other Positions to be filled:
Vice-President: ??
AWA Rep: John Rohde

The Australian Windsurfing Assoc. (AWA) also would like State Advisors to be nominated for the various disciplines/classes. Such people would represent SA in discussions about where to hold the next <insert class> Nationals.
See http://www.windsurfing.org/contacts.htm for current Advisory Committee members. A person can represent more than one group.

One thing that is not mentioned on the Membership Form is that, if you don’t have an AWA Registered Sail Number, you will automatically be assigned one. You can suggest up to 3 on the membership form, but check the AWA list first. You can change your assigned number to any unallocated AUS number – see the list & rules at

Pseudo One Design

November 16, 2008

How much diversity is there really in Formula Windsurfing?
How many of you are sailing the same board?
What is the break-up of fleets?
Do we have a pseudo one design already?

Can’t see the forest for the trees!!
